As many of you know, I spend a fair amount of time camping at Aloha State Park near Cheboygan, MI cause it's close to home anda beautiful park. I made yet another trip up there last week for a couple of days. As usual the weather did not disappoint as it was perfect camping weather as evidenced by this shot of Mullett Lake.
This georgeous day was followed by an evening glow sunset and a clear night sky
On this particular trip I camped on the boat basin once again, only this time I was on the north side. A lovely shaded site, 50x60 feet, so the girls and I had plenty of room of roam. The site was a level as a pancake so no leveling boards required here.
The first night there was busy as we had to get things set up and eat, then went for a "doggie" walk and explored the park again. Spent some time watching that sunset I took a picture of above to see if would develop into anything special. And of course the "girls" had to be pettted and admired by the campers as we walked down the road. Collies are rare these days especialy up north here. But I did get a campfire started the last night I was there and enjoyed watching the lights on the campers and campfires sparkling as night came on.
And on this particular evening, mom nature did not disappoint in the sunset department either.
And of course the following morning the 'girls" enjoyed breakfast before we headed out for a walk and then got ready to head for home. Another successful trip over.
I will be returning here on Labor Day for a couple of days stay this time, not sure it it will be for three or not. I may move over to another park for a couple of nights not to far from this one. Will wait and see what develops.
