I just updated my blog with pics of where I am moving to...(don't worry, not too many pics this time!)

So if you are interested...

Barbie, great pictures as usual. It looks like a little paradise. You should be happy there and with so many things nearby that you love. The way you described this GC, it sounds like your clientele will be young white collar workers which will mean great tips, hope that's the case anyhow. You could put up a little sign saying "We expect Great Tips at Great Clips" :o ha ha The weather sounds just wonderful...I can see how you're very excited about your move :D

OMG I MISS CALIFORNIA. What the hell am I doing in Texas? Oh yeah, my daughter and granddaughter live here.

Check out Doane Valley for camping on Mt Palomar. Great place or was when I lived in Calif. Used to tent camp there all the time. About an hour from San Diego through Julian.

If you drive way out to the Cabrillo National Monument on the tip of the peninsula that forms San Diego harbor, you can find my favorite rock on which to sit and watch the ocean from way up high. (Well, actually, there are a lot of good places to sit up there and contemplate the cool breeze and views, so you can find your own with a little walking.) Worth spending at least an hour at, not counting viewing the lighthouse and museum nearby. Best spots to sit are slightly away from those places however.

I discovered this spot quite a few years ago when I was exploring the area on a business trip, and it is one of my favorite places in the world. Can also drive down the road to the beach area for another neat place to sit and comtemplate for a while.

Some of my other favorite spots are in Scotland, if anyone ever decides to go there. Strangely enough, lots of similar sea views.

I think that garden may be the San Diego Botanical Gardens in Encinitas. It is on my list of places to visit!

The peninsula is called Point Loma and I have heard it is a great place for watching the sunsets!

It looks beautiful, and sounds like there are a lot of cool things to do right in your "backyard." I miss having places to hike nearby.

Hope this works out for you, Barbie. I like Poway, it's a nice town. Used to date a guy there. Much nicer than Elsinore!

Looks beautiful, Barbie, but I'm a bit confused. (no light bulb going off in my head)
You speak of the lady and her daughter like you will be staying with them. So are you sharing a place, or getting your own place?
