From the campground into Cincinnati was about 35 miles but well worth it to go to Jungle JIms Market. It is amazing.
The entrance
a map of the store and believe me we needed one
aisle after aisle of ethnic food - found Bills favorite sweet from Argentina Dulce de Batata - something brown and sticky made from sweet potato and Dulce de Membrillo - quince - comes in a round flat tin - can't really explain it but he loves it. Slices it and eats it with cheese. Also Lingonberry Jam (Swedish) two kinds of beer - one from Argentina and one from Italy. Also all kinds of cold cuts - mortadella with pistachio nuts (?) Very interesting.
A huge section of beautiful produce from all over
Over 1000 kinds of hot sauce
Elvis the singing monkey and the campbell soup can to make shopping fun
and of course their famous rest rooms
If you are ever in that area it is a must see. Fantastic cheese selections - over 1600 different kinds, a scratch your head meat market - any one for kangaroo? ostrich? rattlesnake to name a few items.
more about the rest of the trip later - Air Force Museum (twice) covered bridges (6 of them) Indian Mounds and Pioneer Days.
