Update on Carole

Carole had her surgery Monday to remove her other ovary and uterus. The lab tests came back today and she has to have more chemo as they found cancer cells in both the ovary and uterus. We were so happy when her cat scan after her last chemo treatment showed no cancer so this latest was a bummer. GD doctors - they should have removed the ovary and uterus when they removed the first ovary in January. There's a reason I don't trust doctors AT ALL. She's a little down but is ready to fight and go the next round of chemo. Keep her in your prayers and thoughts.

Dangit! I'm with you, Karen, why the heck didn't they remove it all when they were in there! We'll continue to keep Carole in our prayers.

So, so sorry to hear this. You know I agreed with you way back when they didn't remove the uterus and ovaries at the beginning of this. That said, you can't go back. Carole is fighting and winning, and with all our support and prayers, I intend to see her win this next battle, too.

You're right, they should have removed everything when they did the first surgery....it's not like she was gonna be using them! Tell her she's got the rv women at her back...it's worked before and it'll work this time. Mitch is right, hugs from all of us.

Lots of hugs and healing thoughts coming Carole's way. Remind me of this experience if I should ever be in a similar position to remove EVERYTHING that might be cancerous right then and there. Sunbitchin' doctors. But, as has been said, this new round of surgery and chemo will be the axe for all those cancerous cells. I can only imagine the disappointment she is experiencing, so tell her to keep tuned and we will cheer her up!

This way they can charge for TWO surgeries instead of just one. Used to be that doctors were dedicated to the helping of people. Now they chase the allmighty buck.
