I'm finally coming up for air after moving into my new place on July 15th. I've had workmen under foot almost the entire time. Fired the first one who built the fence and started on the new flooring. The fence is TERRIBLE - not at first glance but when you really look at the workmanship- nails sticking out, rails uneven, gates (both of them) wouldn't close, etc. The last two men I used were great. I got a great deal on the mobile as it had been empty for over a year; had multi-tone brown high-low carpet and even the bathrooms were carpeted in a different carpet. The woman had triple window coverings so the house was really dark. I have to say I'm really enjoying just opening the door and letting the dogs roam and since at the moment there is no grass - all rock, Sophie's allergies seem to be doing better and Buddy is getting more exercise so he's moving easier.
Carole has finished her chemo and had the surgery to remove her other ovary and uterus so will be home early September. I'm hoping we can take some kind of a trip together depending on finances. She was told she was now cancer free and they would be watching her carefully in the future. I'm seriously thinking about trading or selling my rig and getting a smaller Class B for shorter trips. I think I would do more traveling if I didn't have to drive my big rig especially if I'm alone with just the dogs.
I'll try not to bore you with my renovations - I had forgotten how much I love to renovate and decorate. I've been haunting our building material Restore. Found the solid wood cabinet for the bathroom there for only $50!!
