I know that we have many people on our forum with military connections....just want to share this. I am appalled and very angered by it. Our military personnel deserves much better.

I would be interested in knowing what they say. I have 2 nephews in service, one airforce and one marine. Like the guy said, it's not about the money, it's the idea. I have to agree.

Those 2 links are the only links I can find on this. The 2nd seems to be taking quotes from the first letter to the editor. I would have liked to have seen that 2nd one have something to show it as reliable. Unfortunately, I tend to not have the highest regard for the press unless they can prove something. (I actually know someone who works for a tabloid and considers herself a legitimate member of the press). I have trouble believing it - and also have trouble not believing it, if you understand where I'm coming from.

I was able to access a list of all Purple Heart recipients and his name was not on it. I wasn't able to see when the list was last updated - so that doesn't necessarily mean anything either.
