Opinions Please

Postby Bethers » Thu Jul 28, 2011 1:42 pm

It has been suggested to me that we need 2 gtg rooms, or a room within the room. The idea being that the threads for upcoming planned gtg's are getting lost among the hundreds of little gtg's we have, impromptu and planned. What do you all think? I want to make sure that everyone, including new folks, can find planned gtg threads.

Another idea - I can take any of the gtg threads in the works and make them "stickies" which would put those at the top of the room whether there are any new posts or not. After the gtg is over, I could "un"sticky them. That might be the solution.

What do you all think? And I want to keep it as easy as possible. I'm leaning towards the sticky method.

A sticky would be good ... as long as it was un-stickied after the GTG was over. Otherwise it will defeat the purpose of having them stickied.

OK, I made stickies of the 3 upcoming gtg's - oops, there's a 4th, the cruise - will go back and do that one also! See, we need these top and center! We can all thank Alice, who suggested I do something.

If I missed anything, let me know. I'll make a sticky out of any new gtg planning thread (and unstick after the gtg's are over).

On edit, I also missed the possibly Branson gtg for Sept. I made that a sticky, also. Karen, is that still a go?

Well I'm late to vote, but the stickies are a good idea. Thanks Beth and Alice.

Gosh, you WANTED my opinion and I was not here to give it. Lost opportunity on my part, most of the time my opinions aren't asked for :o  ;) :(

Great idea to keep the GTG's that have not happened yet at the top, I have searched for them, to see who is attending, glad Alice spoke up and brought the change about. It will help the newbies, AND us oldies too

Thanks Beth, for always getting on top of things for us here and listening if someone thinks something might be made easier for us, doing your best to fix it.
