Its official

my supervisor approached me as I was leaving a couple days ago and telling
me the driver that had bid on my route and bus didn't like my bus and wanted
to bid on another route. My bus was old, an "02 and he wanted a new one. I
told her let him have my new one that I don't like and give me back my old one.
She thought that was a good idea and everyone would be happy but had to "ok"
it with the head guy. So today, its official, I've got my old bus back and I'm just
tickled pink!! Much better air conditioning, lots of get up and go, the cluster
panel is right in front of me and everything else is where I need it to be, and
no big blind spot with that huge mirror. The new bus had no air conditioning
for the drive, it was all in the back for the students and it was slow on the
take off and took forever to get any rpm's out of it to get any speed.
My old bus also got a new turbo put in during its little time inbetween drivers.
Life is good again at the bus garage and I'm keeping the new kids, I've gotten
used to getting off at 3:30 instead of 4:30. Although on occassion they did ask
me to fill in on another run which is no big deal, I've always been happy to help
out, like today, I did an extra run and didn't get off til 4:45.
