Important - Moving Forum Host

Sometime in the next 1-7 days, the forum will be moved to a new webhost. Hopefully there will be minimum downtime and we won't lose anything. However, anything can go wrong - as we all know. Please keep all fingers and toes crossed and send good thoughts for this to go seamlessly.

The forum itself should not change at all - just the company it's hosted on.

If you experience the forum down - please give it a little time (couple hours) and if it's still down, then please contact Beth via her personal email or facebook account if you have one of them. If you don't, please use the following email acct: womenrv@yahoo.com.

Was hoping to have this done by now. Will be trying to get it accomplished in the next two days. There are a few problems that I hope to solve first. I'm afraid that because of them there's a better possibility we'll have downtime - hoping to keep that minimized. My apologies in advance if that happens.

The forum is now propagating on the new server. Any posts written after they transferred the data about 5 or so this afternoon until complete propagation will be lost (including possibly this one). Propagation can be complete in a couple hours from when I started it (approximately 10:45 pm Friday night) but can take as much as 48 hours.

Hopefully we'll be fully functional on the new host by morning posts Saturday.

Whew. It looks like it went without a glitch. The only thing will be anyone who posted from the time it was all "copied" from the old host till I got it directed to the new - well, those posts are lost. A small thing, I hope. Glad to be hearing no one encountered anything. I didn't think about the signing in part - necessary because of the move. We might have someone out there who doesn't remember their password - so I'll be watching for emails about that.

And I'll leave this post up a tad longer - just in case any glitches get found yet that we haven't seen. This is the place to post them.

I noticed last night that the posts I had read earlier in the afternoon were red again, marking them as new posts. I just went through and made sure I had read them and all was well!

Great Job Beth...aside from frowning at the page wondering why I couldn't see the normal top lines (user control panel, etc.), I figured out that I needed to log in again...didn't know why, but did so anyway. Now I know why...and everything seems like it's working find otherwise. Thanks again!!!
