Just read this advertisement. HGTV is looking for someone who just bought or is looking for an RV to buy to appear on one of their shows. Looks to be legitimate as it appeared on RVIA. Take a look if you are interested. Wouldn't it be interesting to have one of our own appear?

That does sound like a good idea and might be fun but don't think I have the energy to do it.

I love watching House Hunters, and can't wait to see the new "RV Hunters" show, especially if one of us is on it!

How kewl. I sent a message once to Trading Places and suggested they do rv's - cuz I'd have loved to have seen how they could work on our small places to do something unique. Interesting that they're going to showcase people going from houses to rv's. I don't have hgtv here, but would watch that show - and even more so if one of our own could be on it. Hey, I'd be a guinea pig to get a new rv if they foot the cost But I'm not sure I'd want them filming inside the one I have now. Plus they want to show people going from their house to their rv. Should be fun - if they keep it real.

looks like a lot of fun but don't think for me but some of you that are looking for rv's might be an opportunity

I sent an email too. Last night a casting director emailed me and asked me for photos of Maggie, my rig and me. Will send some. Nothing to lose and it could be fun.

I sent an email as well; I think any one of us has interesting stories. We'll see if they email me like they did Joan. Wouldn't it be a hoot if one of us got selected. How much fun would that be. And I could tell them all about my friends on the forum! But if they want pictures of me, oh crap! I am not very photogenic!!! But the RV is...I certainly have pictures of her! LOL thanks for sharing Colleen!!!

We got a request back for photos also. We'll see!

I emailed them... Since we are planning on selling our current travel trailer to downsize...and are not really sure what we are going to get..keep going back and forth on what I want etc.
So we will see.

I will say the write up about what they are looking for is a little mis-leading. Since we have not yet bought our new RV...they told us no. They said they are only looking for people who bought an RV within the last 2 months.
