yummy looking pie. I'll take a very small slice please. Will put the coffee on to go with it. Will make a double pot of coffee cuz others are going to want some too.

You and Nan be very careful on your journey and check in when the satellite gives you a signal.

Thanks for another wonderful tour and photos, Liz.
That pie looks really good too.

Liz was kind enough not to bore you with it, but If anyone interested in learning more about battle on King's Mt (at one time required study for southern school children, especially those from mountain country), here are a couple of references
http://www.tngenweb.org/revwar/kingsmountain.html
http://www.americanwars101.com/battles/801007.html
Most historians now consider King's Mountain the major turning point in the Revolutionary War.

Pie, what a perfect end to a day of exploring. Did Roe help bake the pie? Or is he just waiting for his reward for taking you on your hike and returning you safely to the campground? Thanks for sharing your adventure. Linda

hum....any of that pie left for breakfast? My daughter lets Herschel and I hike Crowder's Mt with her when we visit her and Hannah dog in Charlotte. I know why she likes NC so much. ...and gosh darn just when my mind starts feeling real fuzzy, :? musty and :o uselessly treading water, :? Sarah insists on waking it up to concentrate on learning interesting historical things... :) Next thing you know the sun will be out :D and the thought of bright possibilities (and places to go and people to see) will return....

Beautiful pictures Liz and a picture perfect pie! I don't know what a half-time oven is but if I could bake a pie that looked that good I want one!!
