Robi Sets a Departure date

Postby Robi » Thu May 19, 2011 8:09 pm

August 1st, 2011

(Could slide to Ultimate deadline of Sept 1st 2011 if need be like if I have not gotten a rig yet...although there is always the tent I have...I could do two months in California no problem with the weather, if need be)

I have seen a heck of a lot of cheap rigs, so there is plenty I can get in to just to start. I will bring my mechanic/friend with me (and try to find an RV specialist where ever the rv is). I plan on the first year adding maintenance, (new tires, etc), then if the size is ok, I can work on the inside (I'm pretty creative) if not then I will trade up. I'm prepared for lots of challenges and I will most likely not move around to far from places where I know someone just to start, till I know the rig is running pretty consistantly and have built up a hefty emergency fund.)

I am so proud of myself! (Holy moly have I got a ton of work to do!!!hehehe)

Sounds like a plan. I wish I had the talent to do more inside stuff - I have to pretty much like my interior space. Decorating for me is throwing down throw rugs, blankets, and putting pictures on walls :)

I moved this to the general area - as you already have an intro. :)

Having a date to look forward to is very motivating. Congratulations, and keep us posted on the RV shopping.

I've been following under your intro and here. Sounds like you are making good very progress.
I do not yet have a rig either but have been learning a lot from all the helpful ladies on this forum.

Happy RV hunting. i too am not creative inside my rig though I wish I was. I was looking up at one of the lights in the hallway this morning and thought...we really need to paint the ceiling but I don't think that will happen. Have fun!!!
