Well gals, there really hasn't been much going on here on the left coast, so thought I would post a few pictures of a family reunion that my sister had for her husband's side of the family. In other words, out of about a hundred people I knew maybe 15 or 20. But that was ok, as I got to visit with some nieces and nephews I hadn't seen in a while. The great thing about my family is, we don't differentiate between blood and step relatives. They all become blood as soon as they join the family by marriage. That's a good thing considering I married a guy the first time with 2 kids and the 2nd time with 4 kids (plus my 4 from 1st marriage) , and sister married a guy with 4 kids and she already had 2 from a previous marriage...you can see how confusing it would be to try and keep track of who belongs to who! LOL! It's easier to just claim all of them. And anyway, sister Kay and I both figure we raised 'em so they belong to us, and the kids all seem to agree.

Here's Kay and I, she's the baby of the family:

There's a small museum at the park, mostly birds, but it was interesting, hard to take pix because of the cages:

A couple of squirrels were playing chase, but managed to get this guy:



They had some snakes, turtles and I got a pretty good shot of a lizard, but guess it didn't upload on PB...hmmm. Also thought I had a picture of my daughter, but guess not. Another reunion next w/e, this time for DH's side of the family, don't know how that happened, 2 in 2 weeks and they don't even know each other. Can you tell I'm a little bored and ready to hit the road?

I have been to my sister's husband's family reunion a couple of times because I happened to be there the weekend it was going on. Hey, there's always good food at these things. lol

I liked my DH's cousins and I would always tell him when they were visiting his mother. He's not into that at all and told me one time that if I liked them so much I could have them. I never did tell them he gave them away.

Sharon, I love the new do! You & your sister look so much alike! I'm so glad you had a good time.

It is good to know your keeping busy.....an idle mind, etc. When ever I think of family gtg's, I think back to relationships that I had with a couple of Aunts..... I wonder what memories these current nieces and nephews with have of me. I don't have to worry about GK at the moment. Do you have travel plans for the summer?

Great pics of the family and the critters too. No butt shots, lol. Nice looking sister pic. The family resemblance is there.

Thanks for posting Sharon been awhile and what a fun fam reunion! We will be having one this summer with our children up at our campground
then the other year we have one with my family usually camping fun times
