Has anyone been to this park? Would it be difficult to get a campsite in February?

That's a great park! We were parked in the front section, it's on grass, plenty of elbow room. Alot of the members own lots in the back section. Big club house and pool but oddly enough I WAS there years ago over Valentine's day and it was chilly so did not go swimming!
Daily $13.50 +elect
Weekly$80 = elect year round
buy3 wks and get 1 free
Dry camp$5 per night, 21 night limit
87 full hookup sites, tengo WI-FI hotspot, E-mail access available, laundry, library, showers
Best part is you are not far from Foley Alabama and you HAVE to go to Lamberts cafe" Home of the Throwed Rolls" that place is a hoot and warning they STUFF you FULL come hungry!! They come around with buckets of pass-arounds( black eye peas,
macaroni &cheese ,something else) BASEBALL size rolls that they throw clear across the room and sorgum to put on it. They serve Sweet Tea in huge mugs ( 22 oz?)
We had a good time there! Did not seem too crowded back then

Thanks for the info. Glad to hear it isn't too crowded in the winter - - it's cold there so I thought I might be able to get a reservation. Even though it's cold, it will give me a sunshine fix to help me get through our cloudy, gray TN days.

Margie the park takes no reservations, it's a first in first out park. I don't think I've ever seen anyone ever have to leave a park. Did you just sign up with the Escapee club?

No, I haven't signed up yet. I want to be sure it is something I will use and get some benefit from before I join.

We signed up in 1998 but did not actually use the parks till 1999. We use their mail service and LOVE it! I love the fact alot of regular campgrounds give you a 15% discount if you show that you are a member. You'll get a Travel guide that tells you where all the Membership parks are and about them and also my 2008 book tells me who gives 50% off. You recive a magazine 6 times a year packed with good information & stories. It was worth it for us to join just for the benefits!! It's fun to go to the Escapades and everyone wears a name tag so it is easier to remember who everyone is. The club does have alot of fun and We have made LOTS & LOTS of friends in the club.
SKP stands for Support, Knowledge, parking OR Special kind of People( Escapees) Dan and I just received our 10 yr pin from the club!!

Margie,
It's not going to be cold there - that's on the gulf coast. Not as warm as further south in FL or TX - but it's rarely cold there - that area is one that fills with snowbirds, but I don't believe they take people on for whole seasons. (I only have read their website several times when thinking about joining. So far not a member either - someday, maybe
)
