Finally, after retiring April 8th, every doctor I ever knew decided they needed to see me. Guess they would miss the money for the next five months, who knows. Then my attorney jumped on board (he didn't want to be left out) he needed to see me. When the last one said this 50,000 mile check up is okay, a quart low but you are good for 5 months, I cranked Southern Comfort up, grabbed bear and we were out of there.
Stopped in Perry, Ga first night. Nice park for overnight, then back on the road to NC. Came across Blood Mountain, not sure why it is called that, but bear decided he wasn't cool with me turning right, then left, then right, then left. Think he became dizzy. But we came on into Murphy to catch up with Liz, Carol, and Sarah. Carolyn will be here sometime today.
My GPS took me to the right location, but I didn't see Liz's unit so kept moving slowly. Liz tells me later she was yelling and running down the road after me. Heck I am looking for the Roadtrek never saw Liz. So came back to a campground and set up. When the phones finally connected, they came picked me up and had a delicious supper of pork roast, polenta, followed with carrot cake and icecream. What a treat!!!!!
We are having a wonderful mini get together....will post more along the road.

And here we all are, ready to eat.
My heart rate finally went back to normal after chasing Nan down the road, waving my arms and yelling. The two big neighbor dogs jumped in the chase and were right behind me. Too bad no one had a camera for that.
Anyway we had a great time sharing laughs last evening, and look forward to more when Carolyn arrives today. Slow connection makes it hard to upload pics, but will put some in the gtg thread when I can.

If a sister does something "silly" in the mountains of NC and no one get a picture of it does it really happen?
(Version of the tree falls in the forest and there is no one there.....
) We could say Sarah was still recovering from the stress of high winds and loss of electric......

All I have to say about Liz chasing Nan is
Sure wish I could join some of you gals in these little mini GTG's, but I am way up here in MI and working besides, so no time to go out of state. Did hear that Linda (Bikerchick) may have a Workamping Job in MI this summer. Hope somebody who talks to her, like BarbaraRose can tell her to let me know where she will be. Maybe I can go down for a mini GTG. And I think Kathleen is supposed to be in MI this summer too. Anybody else coming into MI, let me know.

Being on the road is so much fun. Finding places to visit things to see. Bear has finally figured out that we are definitely no longer in Florida and it is okay. He now tries to mark all spots so all the other fur babies will know he has been there. I am beginning to get my traveling legs. Such great fun to meet people along the way. Looking forward to each and every adventure.
