Update on Sarah

I'm at Wendy's in Birmingham. Was planning to go on to Huntsville today, but Sarah was able to get gas, check on her sister and is now on her way here for the night. She wants to go back to Huntsville to be near sister tomorrow, so I'll follow her and stay with her until power is restored there. Fixing steak for dinner & have plenty of food with me to provide hot meals for the duration. She can sleep using her c-pap in my rv and have hot water for washing. Will keep you updated.

Sounds like a good plan....give her my best. Besides the hot food and oxygen  good company (that knows how to play cards) can help everyone tolerate the unusual conditions better. :) :)

Glad you all are going to be together. I talked to her briefly last night and it's unreal what has happened in Huntsville and the news didn't focus on anything other than other parts of AL. Thanks to you Liz.

Power was restored earlier today to the area south of Huntsville - so I wouldn't be surprised if Sarah's power is back on, also. I would have expected my friend south to be without longer, is why I'm saying that. But you never know. I didn't check on Huntsville itself. Just was good to talk to my friend today for a long time. I was able to tell him more about what's happening around there than he knew - being without power, internet, tv, etc - you don't really get all the news.

GREAT picture of you ORS campers! Had I thought of it, I would have sent the banner with Liz for her trip-----dang......any way I can mail it to you, Liz? Maybe you need to start another banner that travels with you, as that other older one is nearly full now. We can use it one more time at the Ruckus, perhaps, and then retire it somewhere where all can view it?

Good to see the three of you again, and makes me wish I could have joined you. A hearty HI to all of you, and hope you have a lot of laughs! Is it hot there, or comfy without AC?

Borrowed Liz computer for a minute so I could thank all of you for your positive thoughts, prayers and phone calls plus especially Liz and Wendy for rescue operations.
Will head back to Hutsville in the morning but for now the company, hot shower and warm food have been great. As of noon today, there was some very spotty power beginning to come back in small areas across north AL. Good chance more will be working by Wednesday and by the time I left Sunday afternoon many more stores were operating on generator power plus supplies were being replinished so there were no longer restrictions on quantities of things one might purchase.
It is so good to know what a wonderful group of women we have here. Thanks again to everyone.
Sarah

Liz so glad to know you made it alright. Know the feeling is wonderful to Sarah for you to stay with her for a bit until her power is restored. Sleeping without that cpap is not a comfortable thing. Hot food and showers are right in there.

Be safe in your travels and Sarah we are so very happy you are safe.
