If Found, Please Return Brain

Lori talking about being absent minded reminded me about the other day. I drove my car over to the gas pumps here at the KOA. Filled her up and walked into the office to pay. Paid, gabbed a while, bought a paper and went to my rig. I'm sitting there reading the paper and thought well I'd better move my car cause my kids were coming over. Looked outside and thought, "Where the hell is my car?" Looked further and Yup, there she was. Still sitting at the pump, full tank and keys in ignition. Should have just put a sign on it - PLEASE STEAL ME.

Me, I hate the fast food drive thrus with 2 windows...one to pay, one to pick up food. More than once I've paid, then driven off and forgot to stop at the second window to pick up the food.

Well, how about going grocery shopping, paying for the groceries, putting the return cash in your wallet and then walking off without the groceries sitting there in the bags

Been there, done that more than once! Also have lost my car keys only to go for a walk and find them dangling from the lock of my mailbox overnight! Or I wake up and find I've slept all night with my garage door open. Which means anyone could have waked into my home. And don't forget a week ago I went to my GDs soccer game with two differnt colored tennis shoes on!  Wow, I'm not coming off so well. Better shut up! :?

How about two---not ONE, but TWO----trips from here (Orlando) to St. Cloud with no purse which houses wallet and driver's license? And then there was a trip back here with no meds from the trailer for me. And just this Monday, I left all my refrigerated food there which I was counting on for the week! Also, when I got back here yesterday morning, I discovered I had shut the shades over a huge open window in the living room when I left on Friday, with the AC set for 85! (It got into the 90s!) Not to mention that anybody could have removed that huge screen, come in here, taken all I own, and left without a trace! Good grief! For me, it's too many places, too many things to think of, too many things to try to remember as I go from one 'base' to another. It was much easier back home when I had all I needed in the trailer at all times!

I am having dreams where I am climbing a mountain, with chimneys and difficult sheer faces, and, although I can get partway up, I can't get back down to begin over and find a better route. I also get stuck in elevators and in houses with tons of secret passages, and on paths I have been on that seem to lead to nowhere. Liz said I seem very calm about the trip home, but I guess my brain is anything but calm! I wake up sweaty enough to take a bath and exhausted! Sigh! I hope the tornadoes quit soon.

I'm not saying a thing!

I'm perfect, I never put things down and forget were they are moments later. What's a senior moment again?

I'll tell you what I've done several times. When I'm hooking up my water hose I have to open the little door with my keys. At night when I'm all locked up and safe, my keys are hanging on the water compartment door outside all night.

I've made two trips into town since getting here to PA and not taken my purse. No ID, no money, etc. Makes shopping difficult, to say the least.

Karen I lauged so hard at yours - then my eyes were getting dry and I was calming down and I read Liz's and totally lost it again.

I just love how we admit our foibles.

Speak for yourselves, I NEVER have senior moments! Haha. Sue, I used to see people leave their groceries all the time in Walmart. Guess they were in a hurry to get out of the store
