Severe storms are just now reaching the Huntsville/Madison County/ TN Valley area so this will be a quick post (will try to get back on later for more).

I called Kathleen to be sure she was not out on road with all the storms today. She is currently at a COE park in the FL panhandle and plans to stay there until Wednesday AM. She likes the park and said the price was great so it was as good a place as any to rest a few days and finish getting better organized. I will check with her again tomorrow and keep posting updates until she gets her internet back later in week.

Thanks for the update, Sarah. I'm glad she's tucked in someplace and not on the road.

Sensible woman, that Kathleen...besides the weather in the midwest is so unpredictable it isn't as if she is missing much up here..... :)

Good to know she's safe and sound. :D If the winds there are anything like here, it's awful! I feel like I should put my hair in pigtails and carry around a little furry dog (or maybe just carry Mitch around). :o :o :o   Winds are whipping at about 30 MPH and gusting to 60 or so. and it's nearly 80 degrees here. Feast or famine!!!!

Oh, so SHORT jokes aren't good enough for you anymore, eh?
Now you have to add "she's heavy as an anchor" jokes...
GREAT. Just great.
I think I'll go have another bag of cookies... :o

Mitch, I haven't heard that heavy as an anchor line since I left the Navy. thanks, I needed a laugh. Tornado sirens went off today so we took all the kids to the basement. Now an hour in the basement of a 90 year old school during tornado conditions with my juvenile offenders is not my idea of a good afternoon diversion. Thank goodness the weather let up and we all went home.

Li, looks like you're getting the winds, and heat, we got here yesterday. I had heard the weather reports so I made sure I was home yesterday before they hit. Not to worry though, my anchor like parts would hold me and the seeker on the road.

Honestly, I meant that you are small enough to qualify for the little TooToo...I never thought of an anchor, seriously! Guess I should have asked if you'd fit in a picnic basket like Too Too did--or was it the wicker basket on an old bike? Either way, no anchor intended! It was a small joke...a dog joke...but not an anchor joke!!!! :o  Geesh if I was that mean, which I am NOT, I have those $%@& flying monkeys instead of cats!  ;)

And on the weather front: We're supposed to get severe thunderstorms starting around 5 a.m. tomorrow. Oh that's just great...I have a new class starting in the AM, with opening comments by a Naval Admiral who is driving down from Northern VA. This could turn out to be a very soggy morning!!!!

Glad to hear Kathleen is tucked away safe and sound. Linda
