Inaugural Trip a Success!

Postby flick4411 » Sun Mar 27, 2011 12:44 pm

I'm back home from the inaugural trip out in Foo Foo with the Kuwaiti kitty. We had a fabulous time. :D :D Had everything weather type aside from tornados... :o   which I didn't miss at all. I have started a blog site, where I've uploaded some pics. Here's the link to the blog...all the pictures are on Photobucket and a link is on the blog site for the album. I hope all the links to the blog and Photobucket work. Guess I'll try it out and see. For now, it's a LONG, HOT shower for me...it's bloody cold here in Central VA! Is winter ever going to end! Snow on the tulips is pretty, but enough is enough!!!

WOO HOO LI. You did great. No problems and all systems seemed to run smoothly. The CG is beautiful and nice sites. I also think that the Kitty will be a good camping kitty, she seemed to settle down pretty quickly. Congrats on the successful maiden voyage. So when are you going again? Linda

Li, I'm so glad things went so well for you aside from the lousy weather. I read your blog and it sounds like you have everything down pat. I love the smowman on your hood! What a way to start your maiden voyage! It'll get easier everytime out.

In spite of the bad weather, you and Bibi did great! Sounds like you remembered everything, and next time you'll know to leave the coach batteries on to run the fridge. Onward to the next adventure!

Sounds like a great first trip. My first trip I backed my 30 ft Class A into the weird site on the first try. The gentleman next to me said "I see you have done this many times before." I had to laugh.

Wow, great first trip. Good job!
Isn't it funny how us newbies want to share every little detail of our first trip!!  At least you didn't go so far as to taking pictures of your meals like I did! We get so proud of ourselves as it seems a major hurdle. I'm thinking, in no time, you will be zipping in and out of CG without a hitch!

You did great!! I enjoyed your blog and pictures, I don't think I could remember all the details of setting up and taking everything down like you did. Glad your kitty did good too.

Blog is outstanding and the pictures are great. So glad that your maiden voyage was a success...except for the weather.

Thanks Ladies! I neglected to say earlier that I owe a lot of this success to you gals! I can't tell you what a positive impact you've had on my belief that I could, in fact, do this by myself. You are the best. :D :D

One other thing I neglected to put into the blog that I may need to edit into it: One night I was laying in bed reading as BeBe was doing her nightly ramble. She does it in the house too---runs around up the stairs, down the stairs, catwaulering for no partiular reason. It usually lasts about 15 minutes then she's down for the night. Well, on this night, I hear thump, thump, thump, rattle...as she runs the length of the rig and jumps up into one of the coach seats. :o But now I am hearing, tick, tick tick, tick... Oh now what? :o So I get out of bed, walk to the middle of the rig, and listen. Tick, tick, tick... Then I see the lights... She must have walked along the windshield area cuz somehow she managed to turn on the emergency flashers! It's pitch dark outside; no one appears up, but now I'm flashing yellow lights at the trailer across the street. Who would believe, "Oh sorry, my cat turned on those flashers..."????
