If possible I was wondering if any one out there could tell me what these are - we have a 10' bush in the back with zillions of these blue berry type thing growning on it - thanks

I think that is what we call "False Indigo" around here, but I won't swear to it! Birds like the berries, but it is really just a weed!

They are poke weeds but we always called them poke berries, they make great dye and the birds love them but they are poisonous to mammals. If you Google Poke weed or poke berries you'll get recipies to make dye and other information.

I agree, they look like Poke weeds to me, too......good for dye & birds, but bad for us humans....

Hmmm? I thought they kinda reminded me of Elderberries. But elderberries are more of a 'spray' not in a string like those.
