I'm so excited! I just watched, live stream, the sermon from my church. (I know, I'm lazy). Our pastor, John Bishop, has been in NC attending some pastor's conferences and Billy Graham's daughter, Ruth, was one of the speakers as well. He got to know her and she is coming to our church to speak!, BUT during the visit she took our pastor to Billy's house and he got to meet Billy!! Ruth videoed it and it was shown for us to see!! Then Pastor John got to visit Beverly Shea, the guy that has sung at every Billy Graham crusade (104 yrs old), and Beverly actually played and sung for our pastor. What a beautiful moment!

That is exciting. I just saw Bill Graham's son on TV and he sure looks like his dad. Ruth has really had a big ministry for quite some time; wonder what she will talk about when she comes to your church. I think I wouldn't want to live to be 104, man that is old, isn't that something!. I'm pretty sure I would rather be called home long before that. I saw Billy Graham do an interview a week ago, or so. He sure had some interesting things to say about what he would do differently if he could. He said he would not have been involved with political people, no visits with presidents...I am fairly certain I know what he meant by that. He said he would spend way more time with his family and way more time in prayer...It was really a very interesting interview.

There has never been a bad word said about Billy Graham. He is so special and such a wonderful man of God. Yes, his son Franklin does look like him.

That would be an honor to meet him. When I was young, my neighbors used to take me with them to see him when he was in town doing a crusade. I don't always agree with him, but have always highly respected him. He is a true, faithful and honest man of God. I have always loved the song they sing at the end of his crusades "Just As I Am". I had that played at my mom's funeral. It always brings tears to my eyes.

Great experience for you,, dear gal! How wonderful to share some time w/ someone that I admire and revere so greatly.
I dig his son, Franklin too, and we are all so blessed that he has picked up where his dad left off to carry the torch of evangelism to the world. My daughter was priveleged to sing in the group choir at a conference in Lubbock tx, several yrs ago when Franklin was preaching there. (the crusade)
thanks for asking about me. tis sweet to have a personal note from time to time.
Take care and have fun for me too!
love ya,,, J

I met Billy Graham in Mpls, I'm going to say it was 1977. My roommate worked at his offices for awhile (which were then in Mpls). When she and I moved to Mpls she was pregnant and not married, and her minister in the Chicago area arranged for the job for her. It helped her get on her feet in a new town. My memory of meeting him is not as great of his offices at the time. You walked in the door and there was a two-story picture of Billy Graham looking at you. Gigantic lol - if you didn't know for sure what he looked like, you sure did then.
