It Pays To COmplain
Posted: Thu Mar 10, 2011 10:42 amI have Dish TV and yesterday I got a notice in the mail that they were giving me Starz movie channel for FREE. Well in the past every time they added a "free" channel they had raised their rates. Went online to my account which is on autopay and sure enough, they had raised their rates $5.00 which brings my bill up to $86. They don't know it but my daughters two receivers are also on my bill and I just use her address as mine - guess I should say they don't know my two receivers are in my rig. Anyway, I was really annoyed and called them and complained LOUDLY. Next thing I know they are giving me a credit of $5 a month for a year. I always say, "The squeaky wheel gets the grease." I did tell them they had priced themselves higher than my local cable company. Not sure if that's true or not but it sounded good. Moral - COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, sometimes it pays.
