My Floating Vacation

Well, I made it to Lake Casitas before the rain really began coming down, and am very thankful for my little, watertight Hideout. I've got a little electric heater running and we're nice and toasty, but there's definitely major puddles just outside the door & somehow I'm going to have to convince Jed that he really does need to go potty. It's supposed to get worse before it gets better, but things should taper off by sometime tomorrow afternoon.
Janice, I had to laugh at your post about luxuries and whining. It took me less than 20 min. to get unhitched, stabilized, and hooked up to water and electric, but it took another HOUR to get my portable satellite dish to work properly so I could watch TV here in the rain. Talk about determination! I was thoroughly soaked by the time I got everything working and had to hang stuff in the shower (note to self: need some more hooks in the tub area). But since I'm here until Monday I was determined to get the blasted thing to work.
So now I think I'll microwave some of the homemade soup I brought along, and maybe even make some hot chocolate.
I love my little mobile vacation home!
