"A TRAILER'S LAMENT"

It has been kind of mild here at the 45th. Mostly cloudy today but we did have some sun for awhile. So decided to go into "the trailer" and do some measuring for some new totes and a couple of other ideas I have. First time I have unzipped the cover and gone inside since last fall. Boy did that feel good and makes me get hitch-i-tis even more. I can just hear that trailer saying:

Oh, I'm getting so tired
of cold, ice and snow.
The warm sun is beckoning
And I wanna go.

I'm sitting here, all bundled
up like a cocoon.
Been parked in this spot
For many a moon.

There's miles of roadway
calling for me.
And all this big country
That I want to see.

Come on Mom Nature
Melt this snow.
Get this cover off me
I wanna go.

I told it to be patient, that spring is coming and pretty soon I will be able to take it's cover off and let it see the light of day again, load it up and we wlll be on our way. :)

It really IS a nice day in Michigan today. Weather says it is 40 and more 40s expected later in the week. Yea!! Snow will melt, but still won't be quite daffodil season for a couple of months.

I loved your poem, Sue. It fits me exactly, and how I feel, of course, my r.v. probably has the same thoughts :) I am so ready for spring and our week expected here is really going to be a teaser, I think. The cold stuff is not done, but I will try real hard to just enjoy each day. I am thinking of taking mine for a nice ride and maybe Maggie and I, will have a picnic along the river close by. We'll do our best to forget the piled snow and hanging ice cycles for a day :)

Thanks for posting it, I could not have described my feelings any better then your poem states,

CArol :)

Cute poem Sue. Looks like your driveway would not put up too much trouble if you decided to just say ENOUGH and took the TT for a little trip. Afterall, the weather round the country is going to warm up. Just a few thoughts. Linda

Actually, that picture was taken back in January. At the moment, with the thaw we are having, the drive is down to blacktop around the TT. I have been purposefully keeping it clear of snow this winter in case I decided I wanted to get out of here. But the weather was so bad between here and FL this winter, that I didn't even bother to think about it. And up till now, I was enjoying the winter.

I have been considering maybe taking a little trip south next month, but may not. Next winter I plan to spend some time down south and out of here, so would rather save up my green for then. However, if I luck out and get a tax refund and my summer job pans out, I may change my mind. But then the weather gets nice here and I don't want to leave.
