Where's Liz? Lake Champlain, Labor Day
Posted: Sat Sep 13, 2008 9:15 amI looked up an old college friend who lives on Grand Isle in VT. She inherited and still lives in the old family farmhouse on the shores of Lake Champlain. We hadn’t seen each other in 26 years.
She has gotten “old.!” Don’t know who that other old lady is on the right.

We spent Labor Day catching up and watching the sailboats go by.
We went out to lunch at this little country store in North Hero.

Her son mowed me a private campsite on the shore.
Where Roe and I watched the sun go down.
The mountain s of NY can be seen as the setting sun glows pink on the sails.
Sunset on the water.
Sailing for port…the end of summer vacation.
Fortunately, for me, summer vacation doesn’t have to end. Tuesday I stopped here on my way to meet another “old” college friend for lunch in Montpelier.

Had a great time in Montpelier catching up on 38 years since graduation. My friend Grace knows the whereabouts of other dorm friends from our UVM days, so maybe next year we'll plan a mini-gtg.
