WHAT KIND OF RIG DO YOU HAVE?

After having gone through the "Where are Your From" thread and enjoyng reading up on everyone, I was thinking about what kind of rigs are you all driving, towing etc. I know that there are pictures posted in Show Off Your Rig thread, but some of are not in there and others have changed rigs or don't even have one right now but just dreaming.

So I'll start and if anybody wants to join in come along. Might be interestig to see if there are more MH's than TT's or 5er's or whatever.

My current rig is a 2011 Rockewood Mini Lite 1809S TT. Has a sofa slide out, queen bed and the ussaul TT things (stove, frig etc.) and lots of storage nside. Was looking for something small for the first time RVing and this one fit the bill. It's a honey of a TT to tow and manuever around. Bought it in June of 2010 and took the first "maidian voyage" over to Otsego Lake State Park where I work. Since then, managed to get in about 5 other two night trips, the farthest being 230 miles from home. I'm stil a "newbie" in this trailer towing/owning thing. Want to do some more travelling, but not sure righ now if it will be with this TT or a 5er, bit larger TT or MH.

Started out towing with a leased 2008 Chevy Silverado half ton pickup and graduated to a 2011 Chevy half ton, but with a bigger engine and fully trailer equipped.

Okay, I'll respond for the masses too.

I have a 30' Jamboree by Fleetwood which is a 2005 powered by a Ford 450 super duty. It is the 4-bunk model with a bed over-the-cab, a jackknife sofa, I replaced the microwave with a microwave/convection-grill. I tow a 2008 Chevrolet HHR. I have had this RV since Nov 2009 and the HHR since October 2010.

1999 Gulfstream Class C 22', Ford E350, one slide with rear corner bed, overcab bed (used for storage) and sofa instead of a dinette purchased in March 2005. Added a toad in 8/2010 - a 2004 Chevy Cavalier.

(I normally skip these - as that's what the other rooms are for - and where I go to find this info with pictures - but am doing something totally not me and answering here.)

My first motorhome was a 1985 or 1986 LeSharo. I loved the size and floor plan but the engine was a piece of crap. I think it had just come out and they didn't have all the bugs out yet. I drove it until the warranty ran out and I couldn't afford to get it fixed anymore. I traded for a 24' Itasca Class C with the corner bed, dinette and bed over the cab. My boys were small and we made many trips in it. I traded it for a 27' Allegro Bay Class C with twin beds in the rear, center bath, dinette, sofa and bed over the cab. That was my favorite floor plan. I could travel with friends and everyone had their own bed. I kept it until 2006 and when I started having problems and was afraid to go very far I traded for the one I have now. It's a 2002 Coach House Platinum 23' with rear bath, two electric sofas in the center that make beds and front kitchen. I could have bought a new small Class C for what it cost but after the problems I had with two Class C's I feel that this one is better built. My DH who never camps or travels but has an opinion on everything said this is all I need. The only thing I don't like about it is the lack of storage and I seem to travel with a lot of junk. After coming down from a 27' that had bays like a Class A it's a pain. It would be nice to have a slide but just something else to leak and break. It really is a good size to drive and park. if I ever got another it would be a 27' Coach House but no more than I travel I will probably have this one a long time.

Think we did this awhile ago but we have a lot of newbies so here ya are:

2005 26' Itasca Spirit (made by Winnebago). Same layout as Beth's. Love it! Changes/additions I've made: automatic awning (love it); auto search satellite dish (love that, too); back-up camera (hate it); swapped the queen mattress for a double so I could get my fingers between mattress and wall (love it); and used the privacy curtain for the bunk over to make curtains for the bedroom window when the day/night shades kept breaking strings.

What would I wish for? Auto levelers like those that were on the Class A's we had, but they are way too expensive.

I have a 31' Class C Sunseeker by Forst River. It has 2 slides, one on each side and the entertainment center in the front. Since we don't have children, we don't need the bed over the cab as this motorhome has tons of storage areas both inside & out. I absolutely love the floor plan.

I have a 2005 Lance 915 Truck Camper on a Chevy HD 3/4 truck. This is my first and only RV. (so far) It's small, can wash the floor with 2 paper towels, but comfy for me and the puppies. Limited storage space, so I don't take a lot of stuff. It has all the usual : 3 burner stove, oven, fairly large fridge, microwave, AC, but no slide (too much weight for this model) and a small outside compartment. When I bought it I didn't want to tow, but am considering it if I find the right small trailer. I don't want anything large or too wide. Linda

Previous 18 ft. TT by Fleetwood, then went to 25 ft. TT Prowler( nicknamed Leaker) , then to my current TT 2004 27 ft. Trail Bay by R-vision. One dinette slide, Changes: Hated the jacknife couch across front so we replaced it with two rocker/recliners in the summer of 2010. Love them. Have been many numerous trips to Arkansas and Missouri, drug it to Corpus Christi a couple of times and to Ohio this past spring for the Warbler migration. Only problem we have had was BLOWOUTS. Finally figured that the manf. of trailer had sized the tires wrong for the size trailer. We switched to 15 inch tires and haven't had problem so far. Keep your fingers crossed for us. Because let me tell you, changing a tire on the side of the interstate with 18 wheelers and cars whizzing by at 80 mph ain't no fun. :D

My first tt was a 17 1/2 ft Coachman... it had a rear bath and was very nice... it even had a little tub... sold that then did not get another until the mid 2000's... I got a Fleetwood Flair 1990 28f class A... it leaked like a sieve... traded it for my current Jayco eagle Bright Hope 10-2010... 27 or 28f class C... rear queen bed... pedestal table, couch, chair, side bath... it is great for me and Shadow...
Everyones needs and likes are different...

Do tents count???

Tented it until November of 2010 then swapped/bought this 1983 Fleetwood Cimmeron Wilderness! Back bedroom, bathroom close by, center kitchen, front living room with sofa and spare prop up table. And a flat tire. No outside storage at all.

Would dearly love a newer TT with two separate sleeping areas so that Kelly doesn't have to sleep on the couch and could have some privacy! More storage and NO leaks.

I this I might come close t rivaling Alice's "Rolling Repair". Only mine I think I will nick name it "Parked 'Money' Sinkhole"!!

We call it, "The Bug House"! LOL

We have a 2009 Raptor toyhauler travel trailer, 31ft. and pull it with a 2008 Ford F-450 Super Duty crew cab dually. We've installed a commercial wheelchair lift for Ronnie in the garage area. It has two queen size beds in the garage that raise up to the ceiling, a queen size bed in the front and the dinette makes a bed also. One slide where the dinette is.
