Okay, now y'all will see how dumb I really am. And how far gone my mind is right now.

I know a couple of you are in/around the Phoenix area and we talked about possibly getting together but for the life of me, can't remember who you are (SORRY) so here are my questions.

1. Hubby want's to go to the Penske Racing Museum - Chauncey Lane, Phoenix - where are y'all in relation to this?

2. Where is a good place to stay in/around Phoenix area...we found a Harvest Host place in Mesa...says its about 38 miles from the museum. Anyone near there?

3. Are any of y'all available to get together in the next few days. Tonight we will be at Edwards AFB (Wednesday) and so we think we will be in Phoenix area on Friday & Saturday. Then we move onto Tucson on Sunday morning. Also do y'all know of a good church in the Phoenix area?

Ali, for part of my last stay around Phoenix, I boondocked at a casino - don't know if you are ok without electric? If not, you'll need others to give you rv parks. I stayed outside the city other than the casino - and Ava knows what casino I was at - she's one of those in Phoenix -

the casino is Casino Arizona, right off the 101 and McKellips on the east side of town.
I'm going to have to google the Penske Museum, but if I'm not mistaken it is the one
that was built out by Firebird Raceway. Be right back with that info..

edit...its not at Firebird

ok, the Penske Museum is actually in North Scottsdale, up by the Bently dealership. Its a
pretty awesome place from the reviews I've read. Its off the 101 and Scottsdale Road.
But the 101 makes a big loop around the city so how are you coming in? From which direction?
I couldn't find a place called Harvest Host except a motel, but not a camping area. If you can
do without hook ups I'd recommend the Casino (McKellips) You can stay there for 3 or 4 days,
no problem and if you check in with them and let them know you can even stay longer. But
its free. There is a place outside Fountain Hills called McDowell Mountain Park, its really
nice, has hook ups but I think its pricey. I think most of the places around the Phoenix area
ARE pricey. Get me the address of the Harvest Host you found and I'll look it up.

Ava - the Harvest Host is at Superstition Farms, is on S. Hawes Road. We would be boondocking there but Ron would prefer a place at least with electricity. The Penske Museum is on Chaucey Lane

Sheila - we are working on our route to Phoenix, Ron is working on the route. We are not sure how we are going from here to Phoenix but it has been suggested to go down AZ95. Have you ever gone from say the Bakersfield area to Phoenix? Originally we were going to go to Las Vegas from Edwards AFB before going to Phoenix but because of funds we are not going to Las Vegas first. We will be leaving here (Edwards AFB) tomorrow, Thursday around 11:00 a.m. and getting on the road and head towards Phoenix. Ron says we may be going through Quartsite...if we do how do we get ahold of you?

Ok - got reservations in Scottsdale at West World for Friday and Saturday this week. Ava are you available to connect at all?

Sheila - I think we are going through Q arriving sometime this evening. Where are you? And can we park near you?

Ladies - please reply to my email directly as I won't have much computer time and I can access my email through my phone.

Ali, Westworld is a good choice, its like the fairgrounds and probably something going on that weekend as well.
The Penske Museum is not far from there at all, maybe a couple miles, 3 at most. (Off the 101, go south on Scottsdale
Rd and turn right on Chauncey) Westworld is also right off the 101, if you get off at Scottsdale Rd, just turn east on
Bell Rd and follow it east to 90th, turn south and it will bring you right into Westworld from the south end where the
rv's go in. I have to work on Saturday and Sunday but pm me your phone # and I'll see if I can make a time to get
with you.
