Three Dog Night

When I went to bed last night weather report said it was going to be around 44 degrees for the low so I left a bedroom window open (I like a cool room). Woke up this morning with all three dogs under the covers and I was wrapped around Buddy (my biggest guy). It was 19 degrees out and not much warmer inside. Closed the window, turned on the heat and took the dogs out. You never saw two dogs do their business so fast. Then there was Sophie who leaped outside then immediately turned around and wanted back inside NOW. I think she's gonna bust before doing her business outside. I think I've spoiled her or maybe I should get her a sweater. Right now all three dogs are curled up together on the sofa in front of the electric heater. They've actually closed the schools and city offices because of the icy roads as we had a little rain last night before the temps dropped. My plans for the day are to lay on the bed surrounded by warm puppies and read. Brrrrrr!!!!

That must have been a shock to wake up to that kind of cold! You must have been warm enough or you would have woke up sooner. Sophie will probably want a coat that makes a statement! Hope it warms up soon.

Brrrrrr. I keep kicking myself because I wanted so much to see all my TX friends - but I sure don't want that weather. I'm in a sundress and took Peaches to the beach this afternoon for a bit. Poor girl got a short visit as I didn't want to overdo walking yet on the ankle. Keep huddled up and warm. Hope it passes quickly!

I've been watching the Weather Channel and right now AR is getting hammered with 2 ft of snow. Looks like they are going to break a 1913 record. Such goofy weather for sure. Tomorrow we are to be 10* above normal (almost 60!).
Keep those puppers close and enjoy a lazy day. Hope your pipes won't freeze!

Brrr. We've had some nights like that. Sammie doesn't mind the cold or snow. She just doesn't like to get raindrops on her shoulders. Her coat is so thick, even with her short cut, that I don't even put a sweater on her in the snow.

...and I thought we were gonna talk about 70s music! LOL!!!!
That's colder than we've been here in Central VA. The weather is just bloody weird! But remember, according to some more conservative pundits, there is NO climate change. Al Gore made it all up!
It's beginning to look like the start of a new ice age if ya ask me! (But, as I know Mitch would say right now, "Who asked you???)
I'm just saying...
Karen, good thing you got them doggies; my cats are not able to understand the concept of sharing body warmth with the human who lives in the house!

These last few days I've had a four dog night.
Just love cuddling with them, being ankle bitters, they are such bed hogs. Wouldn't change a thing though. Enjoy your day cuddling Karen.
Flick, when we were in grade school, they told us repeatedly that we would be in an ice age by the year 2000. Guess that was true.
There is no global warming, or climate change to switch gears. There is the new ice age.

Hi Karen,
Just realized you have a 3rd dog! I need to read your blog or past posts to see how and when you got dog #3. How adorable! Also just read one of your posts and learned you used to live in White House TN - just down the road from us when we lived in Hendersonville/Gallatin TN - of course my old age memory is shot so maybe I did know that and forgot.

Margie, go back to Pets and look for the post in Feb 2010 for Lucky Lulu which is Sophie's first name. I've had her a year this month. So much for "no more dogs". You can always fit one more in it seems.

Be very careful what you say - next thing you know, you'll be posting about #4.
