For some reason I thought of this today and would love to hear which you would choose.
If you HAD to walk 100 miles and had 2 weeks to do it, would you rather walk in 10 degrees below temps or 110 degrees above temps ?? Each night you'd have to put up your tent and cook your food on your little cook stove. You wouldn't have to find food, that'd somehow magically appear each day and you'd have enough water to survive during the day and at night. You'd have the right clothes for either choice.
There may be wind or snow or rain - that would vary, the temperature wouldn't. Not sure if it's warm up or cool down at night - I suppose we can say it would warm up 10 degrees during the cold days and cool down 10 degrees at night during the hot days.
I think I'd choose the heat - I really think I'd give up and just lay down and die in the cold. The cold just seems to emotionally wear me out faster then the heat does.
Hopefully none of us has to do this, but I thought it'd be fun to "talk" about

I'd take the cold, I don't perspire so wouldn't do well in 110 degree heat!

I would take the cold. You could keep yourself warm by walking but you would fry walking in the 110f temp!!!

Besides you didn't say anything about taking a shower or bath!!!! I wouldn't want to smell myself after a day of walking in 110f!!! Wouldn't want to sleep with myself either!!!

I'd take the heat too! At just over 7 miles a day you could do some in early morning, try to find shade in the middle of the day and do the rest as the evening cools. A few years ago I loved the cold, I'd never wear a coat, now I can't handle it, but I go out in the middle of the day in 100+ temps and do yard work.

I've always said that for me, heat is uncomfortable, but cold is downright painful! So give me the heat any day! (as long as it's not humid and there are no flies buzzing around my head! )

I'll take the heat, a wide brimmed hat, sunglasses and an umbrella.

Oh, don't care for either extremes, but I gues I'd take the heat and do as Vickie said. Travel at night and hope I don't get lost.

I would take the cold. I would bundle up completely and travel with Soos in the sun. (Something bout being able to see where I'm going.) I'm with Echo, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near me in 110 heat. (NASTY) Linda

ok, I'm a sissy either way, I'd just stay put until more favorable weather since the food
and water will magically appear everyday, otherwise I'd just sit there and die. I'm such
a woos.

had to ponder this and am thinking Cold but not totally sure you all had good points for both

Good one Trudy. Let's see, I think I'll take the cold. After trying to dig diamonds in the heat, I couldn't do the heat walking. Cold for sure.
