I am considering buying a little red portable campfire . Any feedback welcome--I have not seen it in person. My friend saw it at camping world and is raving about it.

Also check our gadgets and gizmos room - people have some - not sure if that one. I did see that at an rv repair place I was at and it looked sooooooo cute.

I was looking for one a year or so ago. Put together this chart; prices are most likely different, but you'll get some idea.
I ended up with a neat little thing that RetiredHappy got and told us about - it was at WalMart for $25!

I know a lot of folks were having problems with The Little Red Campfire a few years back, hopefully they've corrected them. We keep talking about it but we'd only use it a couple of times a year and just can't justify it. Sigh...

I pretty much think it depends upon where you were going to use it ....my sister in law and husband have a similar type item and use it all the time...we bought something that is propane ran never have used it every where we would have a campfire can so use the real thing ...

Something like that would have been good in the county camp ground in Blythe CA last winter when we were there. They had a "no ground fire" rule. A whole lot of the people down there were using the inner washtub from washers as campfire containers! I kicked around the idea of picking up some pavers but then never did. Here, whoever stayed in this spot at one point or another built a very low rock wall between mine and Jodies site and dug a pit which the rock wall encloses.

Jodie, Kelly and I have big plans for using that firepit when the weather gets warmer!! She works at a lumber mill and can bring home lots of scrap lumber!! :D

For us, real campfires are an issue...the smoke causes me to lose my voice. Hmmmm, maybe not such a bad thing? LOL! If we ever find a real bargain on one, I suspect we'll grab it.
