Thank you all so much for your outreach of love.
I forgot to add that my youngest GD (who will be 9 on Thursday and was to have a birthday party), was diagnosed with walking pneumonia yesterday and is on antibiotics. Say some extra prayers for her. She's the one with the most tender heart when it comes to loving others.
Beth, they put a trach in him yesterday, and have had to put him on kidney dialysis, so I don't think this is going to be prolonged after they stop the machines.
Yesterday I visited the social securty office to ask some questions about getting SS when I turn 62 this year, getting my ducks in a row. I explained that I was to draw from my Xs SS and that he just passed away. Come to find out I qualify as the widow, but have to show certified proof of: my birth, our marriage and our divorce. So off to the court house to get the divorce papers. I have my birth certificate but had to call the county courthouse in Illinois where we were married to get them to send me a copy of that.
Today I got the Letter of Testamentary from the lawyer to give to the bank to close out my Xs account. Well, not so fast. The bank allows up to 40 days for them to release the funds.
I then stopped by a bank here in town to open an estate account and get a Tax ID#. Figured I'd get that out of the way. I also stopped by the auto liscensing place to see if it would be to my benefit to get the pickup and RV titled in my name before selling them. Seems it would cost 27.50 ea to retitle and would take up to 6 wks to get the new ones, or if I sold either of them I could just show up at the liscensing place with the buyer and do a straight across transfer then. I think I'll opt for the second one.
Linda Sue, my scalp surgery is on the 17th, first cataract eye surgery the next day 18th), follow-up to that the day after (19th). Then the next week, the other eye and follow up.
Tomorrow, dentist appt.
Did I mention I'm tired....
Thanks again, ladies...
