Lesson Learned

Ok, so it's really warm here today. The snow is finally melting off the top of Foo Foo but with the rounded edges, it's also sort of sliding down the top edge and gathering up on the slideout awnings. So I thought I'd go up on top and get those clumps off the rig. Got on the ladder and up on top ok, but then I discovered the top with the water, snow, and ice was like a skating rink.

OMG! So I immediately sat down on my derriere and slid over to where I needed to kick off the snow clumps. Then I slid on my butt back to the ladder and VERY CAREFULLY got my feet on the ladder and down I went. I will NEVER do that again when it's wet up there. My heart was pounding so hard when my feet were finally back on terre firma.

But I got that damed snow off the awnings. So there....

So, you'll be forgiven since you're new - but WE LOVE PICTURES!!! LOL.
That would have been quite the sight!

glad you didn't fall off and get hurt! Now, next time you need to knock the snow off the
top edge, just get the broom and reach up there with that, it will knock the snow off
just fine. Its what we used in Colorado to knock the snow off our red and yellow lights
up on top of the school bus. Lessons learned are always good but better when you
don't get hurt. Thanks for sharing. But, like Mitch said, why didn't you have the
camera in hand?

Maybe I should buy and ship you a Snow Rake from the North Country. It's what we use to rake roofs off and I also use it to clean off my TT roof. Extends to 20 ft. from the ground.

leave it to Mitch to want pictures of the possible carnage! Luckily, there was no carnage. I can see it now...I'm up there slipping around, then I pull out the camera take pictures, and what we get is a pic of the fall itself--me flying downward. :o  I expect that Mitch would have wanted pictures of the damage to my body as well, eh? :D  :D Well, don't hold your breath, cuz it will be a lonnnng time before I get back up on top without someone to catch me!!!!

It's not only Mitch. This is the exact reason to have the camera ready. We are a visual bunch here and pics prove things. :D ;) Linda
