Home in Tennessee!!

Postby Fernie » Mon Sep 08, 2008 8:12 am

We have been back in Tennessee about two weeks now and I sure am not making progress on things as fast as I had planned. The back yard still reminds me off the Beverly Hillbillies where we unloaded stuff under the carport that could be outside for a bit!! I am waiting on some friends to take a ping pong table from my shed so I can put more stuff in there I need to take out of the house. Imagine moving someone else into your house and finding a place for everything!! I took my table and chairs to the shed and we are using Bash's. I also took my extra bed down and moved it and my dresser from that room to the shed and put Bash's bed and dresser. Still got stuff I need to go through and move out!! Didn't have a lot of time to get ready for this since I was gone most of the last year!!! LOL We are going to have a big yard sale in Oct. some time!! Oh, did I mention there is a desk on the front porch I took out of my bedroom the other day that I'd give away to anyone who wants it!!!

Molly----let me know when you are coming to the big city (McMinnvile) and I will take you out to Baskin Robbins for that ice cream I promised you last summer!! Either that or we will will find something to eat somewhere!!

All you Nashvillians, name a time and place and we---at least I----will meet you for lunch, dinner or whatever. I am free intil about the 17th of this month when we are leaving for South Carolina and will be gone till some time the first of Oct. I have been to Smyrna a few times to see my Chiropractor and will see her again tomorrow. If I'm good, she will turn me loose till I call her!!

Talking about South Carolina, I just wondered if anyone from here will be at the RVW convention there? Be sure and look me up if you are. I'm usually not hard to find!! LOL I

I sure am glad to be home in God's Country, Tn. I am using my old desktop computor and it seems to be running a little better. I probably won't pick up a new laptop for a couple months-----till things settle down a little!!! Sure is glad to be back and Beth, you are doing a great job on this site and all you gals do a great job making it special!! Guess I need to head for the campfire and check things out!!

Fernie, I sympathize, when I thought I was going to move I got rid of 40 yrs of junk. Stuff I was sure I would need some day, not!!! I called the Veterans and they took away a truck load of stuff. What a sense of freedom and it is much easier to clean now. :D

Hi Fernie (and all your other selves),

Wow! Sounds like you have done a lot of work, but still have more to do.

It would be fun to try and get together for a TN GTG, but not sure when we can all get together. I think Carolyn is still doing her business travel through the end of the month and I think I am heading to a rally in Ohio later this week and will be gone next week. Maybe we could try for October when you return. Hey, Becky and Echo, what do you think? Let's not plan to go to Fernie's place though - - too much going on there! She might put us to work!

when I got rid of all my stuff I donated it to the rescue auction, and some went to
the goodwill. My daughter didn't want any of it so charity got the majority of it.
The bigger pieces, furniture, I had gotten rid of long time ago. I think the only
thing I kept was my little freezer, which I don't use now, its in the shed though.
It needs a new seal on the door.

Fernie welcome home. Know it is good to be back in Tennessee and breathing good clean mountain air again. Things will settle down for you, be sure on that yard sale to go deep, and get rid of more than you want to. You will find it easier to buy more stuff then. LOL

Who said retired people have too much free time on their hands. I have to find time to be lazy. I go on vacation from my vacation so I can be lazy, think you need to do that too.

Glad you made it back okay. Take care and enjoy the ice cream!!

Hey Fernie! Yes, I'm still on the road, leave out again on Monday. At least Iget to wash my draws tonight and pack up again. October sounds good to me for a gtg or dinner either one. I can easily meet in Smyrna. I agree w/Margie, Fernie might put us to work if we go there. Wish I could go to the RVW gtg, maybe next year for sure. I'm experiencing a lot of lasts right now for work and it feels good. Just drop me a pm or an email and I'll do my darndiest to be there. Of course Becky will be able to come w/me. I don't know, I may have forgotten how to drive Somewhere. Haven't seen her in about 2 months.
