My Afternoon as Mrs. Claus

Postby rvgrammy1953 » Sat Dec 04, 2010 10:21 pm

Okay, so you all know I'll do almost anything for kids...so I was asked if I would be Mrs. Claus for an event title "An Afternoon with Mrs. Claus"....It involved decorating stockings and having cookies and cocoa with the children of Ft. Stewart.... :) So they got me the costume and with Doodlelady's help on the makeup, I was Mrs. Claus. I also baked homemade sugar cookies....

1st got into Character.....

Had to have a photo with My Special Santa...

Now, off to our Community House for the party....Come on in....

A good crowd for the size of the room...

And the kids had a grand time decorating their stockings....

Then it was time for Mrs. Claus's cookies and cocoa ;)

Of course, we had little talks about Christmas wish lists to tell Santa about....

Right down to the youngest visitor....

When the stockings were all decorated and the cookies and cocoa all finished....everyone went home telling us to do it again next year....

I'm tired, but enjoyed my afternoon as Mrs. Claus.... ;)

Oh gosh, Loir, did you ever look like Mrs. Claus. Absoluetly fantastic. And the smile on your face was a mile wide. I could tell you were enjoying yourself. And the yummy plate of cookies. I'm sure it made the kids day. Great job.

You look like the best and happiest Mrs. Claus I have ever seen! How exciting for those kids to have had this activity and opportunity, not to mention the happiness it provided Mrs. Claus!
