Kathleen is traveling on and on

Postby dayspring39 » Sun Nov 21, 2010 9:51 am

Hello from Benton, IL... only went 210 miles yesterday... I just got gas and am sitting in a Walmart having breakfast... oatmeal and coffee...
Yesterday was the kind of day we want... I left home about 11:30 only drove 100 miles got tired rested 2 hours then on the road for another 100+ miles to at little town of INA... well that is the place I stayed last year when it was so so so cold... could not get the generator started in that old MH another friend on ORS talked me through and it finally started... last night the generator kicked right in... I had warm soup that my daughter had made... sad to say that the furnace only runs with the generator on... when I tried it at home I was plugged into electric so that is why it worked... maybe there is a trick I need to know...
Today is cloudy... I will head for Camden Tn and visit my friends Janie and El there... Bright hope is operating as she is supposed to... my daughter put Shadows other kennel (left the huge one home!) in the front passenger seat... he did just fine...
I am hoping to see Wendy and Sarah in Al... that remains to be seen... what fun it is to see some of my unseen friends...
My walking friend called last night to check in 3 1/2 hours later we hung up... my oh my had to make sure I knew all of the ins and outs and to be safe... do not drive on 2 way roads etc... nice to have extra warnings... very nice...
May your Sunday be full of happiness,
Kathleen

Camden is about 30 minutes from The Blue Marlin, if you need a place to stop - 30A, water, sewer, all available at a great cost - NADA, ZILCH, ZIP, NUNCA!

Hi Kathleen, glad to hear you are on the road and rolling. I think it would be a good idea to find yourself a RV dealer or sales lot with shop and ask them about your furnace. Then you can keep your piggies toasty warm with out the genny.

Ohhhh good offer from Mitch. Free RV site with all the hookups ain't nothing to sneeze at!! Not to even mention the chance of meeting a forum sistah!!!

Be safe and keep the updates coming! ;)

The sewer dump is "available", not a constant hook-up. And if there's a lot of rain, well, can't drive across the lawn! I guess I need to add a small driveway over there...

I was thinking about you today, Kathleen, so glad to see you had posted , and that you 're on your long awaited trek down to Fl. Visiting friends on the way, sounds like the best trip ever. Glad you're enjoying yourself, best feeling ever to be out on the open road going somewhere you really want to go.

Happy and safe travels

Maybe the furnace needs electric/gen for the termostat in order for it to work?

I think WickedLady might be right...bet you have an electronic ignition on the furnace.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.
