Have arrived back in Quartzsite Arizona...so nice to be warm! here it is after 8 pm and it's 60 something outside! far better than close to 40 as it's been the past few weeks!
Some of you remember that last fall my husband was going through prostrate cancer treatment ...which involved radiation lots of it both low beam and then a high beam radiation...we were sure that all was well until this fall when a psa came back high so were went back to the ocologist and after having tests ran found out that the cancer had spread to the bone..had done that before the radiation treatment so it's back to stay...since it's still prostrate cancer it will be treated at this time with harmon lowering shots and male harmon blockers although it's no longer curable it is treatable ...and so we are dealing with this ... if you have a special male in your life remind him to get his PSA ran (as important as breast exams are to us or pap smears) and if it comes back enlarged or the numbers are up and you get the we will wait and test it later run don't walk for another opinion I wish we had those many years ago!

Hi Sheila
So good to hear you are now in Quartzite where it is nice and warm. It is a chilly 32.9' here in Blaine, WA. They are calling for snow tomorrow ~ up to 3" possible.
Ron and I were sorry to hear the news about Larry and the bone cancer. Know that both of you are in our prayers.
Enjoy your time in Arizona and send some of that sunshine up this way.
Ali & Ron

So sorry to hear about your hubby's cancer returning. My dad had prostate cancer about 6 or 7 years ago. He got those radiation beads put in and they seemed to do the trick for him. His PSA's are close to zero now. What is the treatment and prognosis now for Larry? Maybe the sunshine in Q will help both mentally and physically for both of you! Have you looked into alternative treatments? There are some that are very good.

Sheila, love and strength are being sent to Larry and you as you begin the battle to treat this nasty disease. My brother also has prostate cancer, and has had the radioactive 'seeds' inserted right into his prostate gland. His PSA levels have remained low now for quite a few years. What a shame your husband's had spread to his bones, but perhaps the new treatments can halt the nasty stuff in its tracks. Something new is being tried each day. I will keep you in my wishes for recovery along with others I know who are battling the big C.

Sheila - It's good that you are back in your familiar winter quarters. I sure am sorry to hear Larry's monster has reared its ugly head again. Fight it with everything you can and bash that ugly thing into submission.
I'll be in Q in January with my camping club - around the 26th, 27th, etc. Same RV parking place as before with the hookups. If you remember what Flitter looks like and you happen to be cruising around the area, stop and say Hi!
In the meantime - hang in there and do whatever you have to.
Evie
