Interesting tidbit - to me anyway

Postby asirimarco » Wed Sep 03, 2008 7:07 am

Got some interesting (and exciting for me) news - one of our sons - Randy the one who owned the snake that lived with me - is into old cars and motorcycles. Any way he built a chopper - from the ground up and it was bought by a TV company. So tonight on FX Channel at 10 p.m. it will make its debut on the new show "Sons of Anarchy" Not a channel I watch often and the show doesn't seem like one I'd like, but will have to watch it to see The Bike. Supposedly it is ridden by the lead character, Ron Perlman. Son says it will be the one with the high handlebars and red pinstripping. A long, long, time ago another of our sons had his car in a movie - "Pretty in Pink" They had the car over 2 months and it was on the screen for 1/2 second! If you sneezed you missed it. So tonight at 10 EST you'all know what I'll be doing. Have even put a sticker on TV so I don't forget.

Thanks for the heads up re: the TV show. I just set it to Tivo tonight so I won't miss it. I think that's pretty neat to have his m/c in the movie and a car in Pretty in Pink. I'm curious - - does he get paid well for that, or is it just for "free".

John's car - years ago he didn't get paid for - it was just the fun of it being in a Molly Ringgold movie - the chopper first they rented it for $4000.00 then they bought it outright. They may want another one. I don't think the series is one I'd watch more than once.

I don't get that station on our cable here. However, I know someone with satellite, and am going to ask him if he has it - then if so, will invite myself over to watch long enough to see the bike - if he plans to be home :)

That said, I'm waiting for a maintenance guy at the park to come to my new site - cuz I'm not even getting the cable on it. I think I have 4 stations right now LOL - I will make sure they get that fixed.
