On the Road

Well we left Brown County this a.m., stopped in Columbus (about 20 miles away) for breakfast then on to the I-65 south. No problems at all - I always hate the first day of travel for some reason. This was a short day only 180 miles to Park City, KY. We are staying in a park near Mammoth Caves(Diamond Caverns) that is affiliated with Thousand trails so its only $16 per night. Pull throughs - 50/30 amps sewer and water. - too bad we aren't going to stay more than overnight - tomorrow the tours of Mammoth are free. But we have to be in Vegas by the 20th.
It is so warm here I am in shorts and a sleevless t-shirt! And had the AC running for awhile.
AND the satellite is up and working - it took a while but I won. Put in the co-ordinates with no problem and the dish locked on but because we have Hughes net at home and here in the RV I have to swap modems through the computer- grrrrrr.... computer kept blocking me at one point - finally got it overrode and finished. At least I only have to do that once per trip.
So far haven't thought of anything we forgot. Gas here in KY is about 20cents a gallon cheaper than in Indiana. We probably will be going into Mexico around 12/10 as that is when our insurance begins - if sooner we'll just change it. We'll spend two weeks at least in Vegas. Then.....
I bought a small light for my Nook so I can read it at night - very light weight made for the Nook.

If your RV feels a little heavy, just look out your rear view mirrors at all of us hanging on for the ride. Looking forward to all your adventures.

I am wishing you safe travels as well. I am just so different. I can't wait to get on the road! I have to get to rally during each month to get me to the summer to keep my hitch itch at bay! Just goes to show how different we all are ;) Enjoy your travels :)

Love,
Sharon

We're another 300 some miles down the road - spending the night in Heth, Arkansas.....
Weird someone just knocked on the door -Dark out so we didn't open the door - just yelled through it- The guy finally asked if we knew how to send a text????? .
Updated blog - not much to say today. Lots of miles and lots of traffic.
Ali - the campground we stayed at wasn't a TT it was an Encore and TT members can stay there for half price.

Carol, I live in north central AR, foothills of Ozarks and had to look up Heth, had not heard of it. I believe it must be near Forrest City. If you missed the AR GTG, maybe you can go out of your way a little and take the NW AR route going home, pretty country :D Have fun, be safe :!:
