MONDAY WHERE WE ARE--NASOOSIE
Posted: Mon Nov 01, 2010 5:23 pm
We are at exit 232 just inside the VA border tonight----near Winchester, at a Flying J. We arrived in the nick of time to get one of the 6, or so, spots where an RV can stay overnight at this facility.
Much better day today, weatherwise....sunny, clear skies. No snow, rain, sleet, or hail, and very little wind compared to the past two days. Tomorrow we will head for route 17 that cuts over to 95 south of Baltimore, to Fredericksburg. Then continue south, if our luck holds up.
Paid for another 60 mns. of wifi, so am hurrying. ORS won't let me post anything tonight, either, so if anyone can copy and paste this info in ORS I would appreciate it.
We had a good supper at Denny's, and hope to get up earlier tomorrow. This morning I couldn't get my generator to start, as when I pulled it, high up in the truck on a bench, I guess I was pulling the cord at an angle. It nearly pulled my arm out of the socket several times when it recoiled, until I called my son and he said to make sure I was pulling the cord straight out. So I unpacked the entire truck bed to allow the generator to sit on the floor, pulled it once straight out, and vroom---off it went. Thank heavens for my son.
We stopped twice for gas today, once with great difficulty turning around. This is an ok spot for sleeping tonight, right next to the off ramp of 81 where tons of truckers ae coming and going. At least it's free.
If I can get online tomorrow, I wil check in again. I wish I could get onto ORS.
Bye for now----I hate limited online time. No time to read any posts either...will try to get caught up when I get wherever.
