Ok in this first pic, I'm standing on what is normally the beach road and looking back towards the boardwalk. The beach itself is behind where I'm standing (normally):


In that pic - if you see the golf cart on the boardwalk - the waves got up to the floorboards of it on that surge.

This next pic, Rose (one of the ladies I went down to the beach with to take these pics) was standing on the dry road (like me) as the wave started coming in behind her:



And Tony, one of the gents here - standing in the water when a wave came in - not much further out from where I had been standing to take the pics looking back to the boardwalk - this wave was higher than the one that I was in (which almost knocked me over cuz I was concentrating on taking the pictures!) First, you see him facing out - with the first wave coming over his feet:



Now he starts walking BACK to the boardwalk - and this is the next wave coming over him (and the one behind him got him wet almost to his waist):



And, two idiots - one let his son play in these waves with a waterboard - we were appalled. And another let 2 of his dogs off leash to go running out - if the wave that came over Tony or one that came over me and Rose had come over the little chihuahua when it was out there - it might not have made it back. People are STUPID. I did not take pics of that.

Glad you're safe. Some people just don't understand how dangerous water can be. Stay safe and dry.

Just think, if I had been camping on the Beach you could have taken a photo of me floating! Is this the result of Fay?

Big waves scare me I would have been standing way back! Hope the beach comes back.

OMG! Sparkle!!! Next time you get to fixin to get another TT ya'll need to find one that has room up under it for pontoons!!!! Or else a dang houseboat on wheels!

I can see the headlines now,"Woman Determined to Camp Where No Woman Has Gone Before"!! Has campfire and sings row, row your boat in good harmony while on way to Hawaii.

Someone posted a picture on here and an article of another woman playing in the water with her motorhome. We were kinda wondering if it was a relative of your's?? But I can't remember who posted it.

I wish I had been able to get back down to the beach today- everyone was coming back with dozens of sand dollars - just picking them up on the beach without having to even go into the water!
