WOW, WHAT A BLOW

Well, I'm still attached to terra firma here in northern Michigan. But this has been quite a wind storm with today being the worst. Winds in excess of 60 mph. and believe me those trees were a swaying. We do have three trees down in my neighborhood area here. One is a top of pine, the other a tall but not fat tree and the last one was a big pine that came down by the canal across the road. None of them are causing any problem and fortunately the two by the road missed the power lines. But I was totally surprised :o this morning when I looked out to see all the leaves in my yard gone. The wind swept them clear. There are leaves on the other side of my drive, but no big deal and there are some here and there in my front grass, but I might not even both to blow them. If I can cut the grass one more time, that wlll take care of them. Even my neighbors leaves that I blew into the ditch and around one of the trees are all but gone. Amazing. It will be at least Saturday before all this calms down though.

There were hurrican force winds up here as well. Here is a link to our local TV news with all the info on this storm that also impacted a large area of the Great Lakes region and set a record for recorded pressure. Category 2 and 3 hurricane force.

Stick homes aren't there forever. They can get moved around in high winds too. Takes a good high wind, but stlll can do it.
