Saw the damage in the Indianapolis area and hope we don't have anybody on this site in the area. If so, hope all's well.

Good Morning - we are 35 miles south of Indy but are fine. Here in the hills we don't get the weather quite as bad. The brunt of it seems to go around us. Did have heavy rain and strong winds but only for a short time. Lost one big branch back in the woods behind us but that was all. Did lose power for 4 hours. At one time so many leaves were blowing off the trees it looked like a yellow blizzard.
Beth is here now - parked out front so we spent yesterday aft visiting.

Thanks for checking in with us, Carol, and I'm so very happy to hear you survived that nasty storm with minimum damage. It was a corker, for sure! Have a good visit with Beth!

I blew in - and this afternoon I blew back out again. And had worse winds driving today than yesterday. Go figure. Better on the back roads - without all those open spaces on the interstate, though. And I only went less than 200 miles - stopped tonight in Corydon - went shopping at this Walmart and they are ok with overnighters, so I DID shop (didn't the other night when that Walmart wouldn't let me stay and it wasn't a city ordinance).

Was so good seeing Carol and Bill. Wish I had had more time to spend - maybe next year! Got to see more of their Mexico pics. I HAVE to go there one day. No pictures of us (we were bad) but I did get some of their house - will get those on my blog eventually - haven't got the pics from Kath's on it yet

Glad you are okay Beth as I kind of wondered where you were wondering. Looks like it's going to be time to start heading south. Winter will be behind you pretty soon. And yes, those winds are terrific. We are still getting them here. Earlier today they sounded like jets roaring out there. You could hear them coming before the gusts hit the trees.

Hey Carol,

Someday you are going to have to tell me all about Brown County. I know it's famous for it's covered bridges and it's somepace I want to go and take LOTS of pictures.
