I've been chattering about this big wind storm they say is supposed to hit starting tomorrow. Well, she's still a comin...
Here's our forcast for the next three days at least.
http://www.9and10news.com/Category/Stor ... 102&cID=10 Guess this will be a good test for my new RV cover. If it happens to rip, which I doubt, CW will replace it anyway, so I'm not worried about it. About the only thing that will happen is my oak tree under which my TT is parked is going to have a twig and small branch dropping fit. Those trees are great for dropping leaves, twigs, acorns etc. They are a pain to clean up around. Just get it done and down comes some more especially when it's windy. And they hold their leaves forever.

We've been having 20-25mph wind all day here too!

We have had white caps on the lake today, too. Did clear off and sun made it nice and warm. Limbs still moving fairly good in the wind. Otherwise, was lovely here today. Hope, Sue, that you only get small twigs that drop. Deer here would love your acorns. Our oak trees in the park are Live Oak so they drop some leaves all fall, but their major leaf drop is Mar and April or Feb and Mar, don't member which. They never brown off or die on the tree - it looks green all year (no color but green there).
I think that tomorrow at your place sounds like a stew or soup day or maybe chilli and cornbread. Curl up with a good book and call it a 'mental health day'. Sometimes you gotta take a day off, even when you are working.

Tomorrow here may be a Goulash day with the leftover Acorn squash. I just finished up some cornbread over the weekend, so won't make any for a bit here. Need some more mix as I just used the last box. But the chili and cornbread do sound good. I could make chili just as well as goulash.
Winds you gals are getting or got, are all from the same storm system. We had a lot of 20-25 mile winds this summer, along with guest near 60-65 and in some places 70 a couple of times. But I guess it's the intensity of this strom that is making this one unique. If it were winter, it would be a heck of blizzard. So we shall see. Won't bother me any. I'm prepared. Just filled up my laundry sink in case power goes and at least I can flush toilet if I have to. Always stock up on bottled water in late fall, so that's in basement. But this isn't winter and I can go out to a store someplace if I need something as well as go out for supper if necessary. I have a gas stove in my living room and I can use it for heat as well as heating up some stuff. I don't think I can outright cook on it, but reheating will work. Never have had to do that yet though.

We are at the tail end of a storm system going thru here these past few days. The coast is getting high winds as well as the gorge. Last night I even heard thunder a few times! Torrential rains everywhere in-between sun breaks, rainbows and hail. 2 ft of new snow in the passes, skiers are happy!

Just took Molly dog out to pee and it's 48 degrees, raining and the wind is blowing like crazy !!! It'd be a great day to stay home and watch TV, unfortunately I'm getting ready to go to work. Oh well, at least I'll be inside.
I don't like this kind of weather - just miserable !!!

That laldies, is the same storm that is bearing down on me right now. Except I don't have tot worry about 2 feet of snow in the passes. But that all tells me that winter is on the way
