LAST DAY OF WORK FOR THE SEASON

Yesterday was my last official day of work at the park for this season. Other than just going back for the Halloweenfest next weekend, that's it till spring.
Had a good day with my co workers getting thing that we do in good shape for the permanent staff to take over. There are a couple of other seasonal workers still on, but only till the Halloweefest or maybe late October. And even then just part time or so.
So now it's vacation time. Furry crew and I leave on Sunday for the U.P. for a few days. Was going to camp up there, but the weather forecast was calling for hights in low 50's and nights in 30', so sounded a bit chilly. Has changed of course now. But I have a cold, compliments of working out in the chilly wet weaather a week ago at work. It's going away slow but sure, but still have some sneezing and coughing. Will be coughing for a while as I always do.
Decided to winterize the camper and cover it up for the seaon and make reservations at my favoite resort where I can stay inside warm and cozy and dry. Looks like we are going to have some nice sunny weather, so we will be out and about exploring and taking fall pic etc. They love it up there.
Once we get home it will be time to start getting things ready for winter. Start up snowblowers, put away summer stuff, organize and store camping gear etc. And of course the furry crew and I will be doing lots of walking in the fall woods, day trips here and there and all the other fun things they look forward to doing when I am off for the winter. Eventually we will have to settle down to winter. But eve nthen we make it a point to take a walk everyday unless we have one of those windy, white out condition days where nobody can see us walking on the road.

Enjoy your vacation time, Colliemom. Hope you're feeling better soon so you can really have a good time in the UP. Must be beautiful this time of year.

Have fun, Sue. It's always sad when some of us have to winterizer our rigs. I'm still refusing to have mine done as I want to go at least once more as I love fall camping best.
