Devils Den State Park, Arkansas

Took a drive out to Devils Den State Park today. As many times as I've been in this area and have never been there. I'm glad I did, it was a beautiful drive there and the park is gorgeous! Kind of expensive for full HU, 30 a nite, tho. Just e&w were quite a bit cheaper. I thought the sites were nice, lots of trees, but they would be hard for us big girls to get into without someone to spot for you. The smaller rigs would have no problem at all. Unfortunately, for some reason beyond my comprehension, I neglected to take any pictures of the campsites! Duh! Don't think it would be a good place for a GTG, to hard to get into and no water for Kayaking. Lots and lots of hiking and even a cave (Devils Den). That's what the park is famous for, the hiking trails. So....off we go!
Road going into the park
Liz's kind of road..I immediately thought of you Liz, when I saw this. Sign before this says " 8 Hairpin turns ahead"
Nice little picnic area with a creek
Just following a dirt road
And found this under a one land bridge
On the way out of the park found this overlook
With this neat trail..Chewy and I walked quite a ways on it
Took a different way out of the park and the road was a lot straighter, in fact saw several large rv's going in, but it sure wasn't as pretty.
Chewy and I had a nice drive, a little hiking..not bad for a chilly cloudy days work.
