OK, the Sharon visits part should be in the gtg room, but Jean leaving is part of this blog post also - and just thought some of you would like to see it. I had also taken some pictures at the Cancer Center previously which I put in this post - so lots there to cover.
http://ontheroadwithbeth.com/blog/2010/ ... an-leaves/Sharon and I will both be leaving Honeycomb tomorrow, but going different directions, then I'll meet back up with her, and many more of you, at the AR gtg on Monday.

Wow, that was sad to see Jean as she rode away. I'm sure a large part of your heart went with her.
I pray her recovery stays on track.
Ok, that's the first picture I've seen of Sharon since she cut her hair. She really cut it shorter than I thought. Looks cool and easy to manage.
Thanks for sharing the pictures, Beth. Safe travels to you and Sharon.

Lenora, that was my first thought too, first time I saw Sharon's haircut and now it must be shorter since she and Beth had their hair cut today. I like it! It was sad to see Jean and her rv pulling out, but everybody looked good and it will be a new adventure. Beth, you said you would be working with Ray and Wanda, do you have something lined up already?

Thought I'd mentioned it - but guess I haven't. After I go to my hs reunion, then to visit family and friends in WI, I'm going back down to KY and will work at Amazon there for 10 weeks. What can I say - I'm about 300 miles to there location in KY from here - but will put on close to 3000 to get there
But you and my family and friends are all worth those extra miles.
After that I'll probably come down here for a week and see Jean before going where ever the rest of the winter takes me.

Kewl, I knew you were looking into it after talking to someone (can't remember who) about their late start dates.

It's also good you are heading out tomorrow. Godspeed my friend. Enjoy your family and friends and I look forward to seeing you in March. Safe travels.

The hardest part about having traveling friends is parting and heading separate ways. I hope everyone has safe travels and Jean will continue on the path to kicking Gilbert out for good.
Now we're waiting to hear all about the GTG and Branson! Wish I were there!

I couldn't bring myself to read it until this morning.
Thanks for sharing such intimacies of your lives.
That had to have been an emotional roller-coaster day.
Sharon, love your hair. See you guys in a couple of days.
Jean, continue your path to wellness.
And keep kicking Gilbert's ass!!

Beth thank you again for sharing... this is a long hard journey for Jean my prayers are with her... she needs to kick this insidious disease so hard that it leaves squealing with fear... I know you will have good adventures but part of your heart will be there with Jean...
You will have new adventures... oh I wish I could go to the GTG but that is impossible... I still have my flamingo glass it brings back great memories...
Travel safe...
Kathleen

Parting is such sweet sorrow. But I'm sure your trails will cross again...hopefully MANY times!

Where in KY is the Amazon thing? Maybe we can do a mini GTG while you are there without my rig.
