I've Got Pooker's Black Cloud

Hey Pooker, did you send your black cloud my way? Its raining cats, dogs and mices here and I have a roof LEAK!!! SH** Laying on bed reading on my new Libra. Look up and SH**, my ceiling WET. I get one of my great RV guys out and he goes up on roof and finds the leak and (Hopefully) plugs it to get me thru the night. Tomorrow take RV to shop so they can dry it off while its inside their facility and fix roof. May have to spend nite at RV place. Yuk. Started unhooking and was going to use my water pump. Just had the outside hookups replaced when I got back to Kerrville. Well, when I turn on the pump it spews water out the outside CG hookup. Add that to the "fix" list tomorrow. Sure don't need the expense right now, just before leaving for AR.

Sorry to hear the cloud found you Karen. If it had to happen guess it's good that it happened before you were out on the road.

Oh, Karen, I'm so sorry. I hope the leak didn't leave a mess to repair/replace on the ceiling area and the CG water hookup is an easy fix. Keep us posted.

Ouch, Karen. I hope the roof fix is easy- and I hope instead of caulking they use Eternabond - I'm really happy with that on mine now.

That said - make sure there is no air in your line with the water pump. I had the exact same thing happen to me a couple years ago - and was that simple. Needed to run the water until the air got out of the line. I'm not explaining that well, but that's what it was, and maybe with the replacement, that's happening to yours.

What a bummer! Ain't it always something!!! I hope it's a quick fix (well, more importantly, a GOOD fix) and you're on your way!

Sorry, Karin but here's some more huffs and puffs to blow that cloud and the rains far to the west of you.

Do hope it is an easy, inexpensive fix.

Just make sure it goes WEST, I think everybody that's coming to the gtg has already made it past you, just don't send it EAST!

As Guilda Radner said, "It's always something!" I love her book by that title. It seems as if it is the 'season' for a bunch of stuff to go wrong or malfunction with our campers. I hope we all get fixed up with not much expense and not much waiting for parts, labor, and whatever.

Oh, Karen - I'm so sorry! I think you have your own cloud, though, because so far mine hasn't totally gone!

VickieP don't you dare send that cloud west! Can we push it south to Mexico? Maybe stop a few hundred illegals from crossing the border for awhile?

I hope they are able to fix everything to your satisfaction, Karen. Water leaks are the pits! Beth may have the answer to your pump problem, tho.

So Karen, did the BoyZ get you repaired today? Looks like it is booming over your way again. Sure poured here Tuesday and has clouded up and is booming out there now. At least it looks like a black cloud to the west of me, but then there is one to the SE of me to - that's toward Vickie, Yakn1. Funny with all the rain Tuesday, I never heard a boom, but getting them now. Need to close out and unhook the puter. You guys be safe.

Okay, its been a loooooong day. Took Sophie to vet for toenail clip. Did laundry including stripping bed, sofa and dinette. Did grocery shopping for trip. Picked up Sophie at vets. Took RV to shop (Mobile RV Repair in Ingram - same place Birdie uses). They replaced a strip on roof about 10inches wide and 8 feet long. Resealed around skylight over shower. Fixed leak on big sliding window by dinette (the guy who "fixed" the window didn't leave any weep holes) thus the cushion was WET this morning. Fixed water spewing from city water hookup (person who replaced the door and rehooked up the water lines put the little pointed screen with the point facing INWARD so it was pushing on the release valve and keeping it open), replaced water hose in engine, checked all belts and hoses, changed oil and filter - ALL THIS FOR $266. They re-rubberized my roof for me last March and he felt they should have noticed the roof problems then so he didn't charge me full price for the repairs. God Bless them. The fiberglass of the side of the RV was sticking up over edge of roof by about a quarter of an inch thus poking the edge of the rubber roof. DUH!

Am back at the KOA having a LARGE glass of wine. Tomorrow I move over to Carole's so she can put her stuff in the RV and we leave Friday morning. I'm pooped. Am gonna miss my neighber Sharon but she's coming to Port Lavaca this year.
