Electrical question.

I know someone will have an easy answer to this....probably Mitch  I just painted my bathroom cabinet hardware in Myrtle. I would like to paint the light bar above the mirror to match. The wiring is connected to it so what do I need to do to cut the power to that so I can unhook the wires? I have battery disconnect switches above the door, in the little compartment. They say "main" and "auxillary". The lights are 12V so I know I have to disconnect the battery. Before I mess with those switches...Am I thinking correctly?

Typically in a S&B house you'd flip the circuit breaker before disconnecting anything electric. There are usually a couple of circuit breakers in a motorhome, depending on how much electrical stuff you have (I have 2 in my trailer, I believe). You can turn it off if you know which one to flip, or you can pull the fuse for whatever you want to work on.

Hope this helps.

Laura's right, there is a breaker panel somewhere in your rv with either a breaker or a fuse to pull. The fuses are those little square ones and can be pulled easily with a pair of needle nose pliers. If you got the book with your rv it should show you where the panel is.
