I’m really in PA, but way behind on my trip report, so I’ll start with the first day. I’ve been stuck (pleasantly) in the 1800’s in the mts. of VA and WV with no cell or aircard service. I’ve got one iffy bar at my cg tonight so here goes:

Every time I go to or from my daughter’s in GA, I pass through Harlem and by the Laurel & Hardy Museum. Harlem was the childhood home of Hardy. One day I’ll pass it at an hour it’s open and stop and have a look.



Zippety-do-da, zippety-aye, my-oh-my what a beautiful day; Plenty of sunshine and I’m on my way! (Pardon the poetic license)
First stop was in Eatonton, GA, birthplace of the creator of Uncle Remus, Brer Rabbit, and all the other critters we wrote about.



The museum is housed in a former slave cabin which looks like the one Uncle Remus is described as living in.



Magnolia blooms on the grounds.



Time to stretch our legs and have lunch at a wayside park.



Anybody remember the recent news story of the discovery of a bigfoot carcass in northern GA? Well, I sighted a live one.



Plenty of blue skies heading my way, zippety-do-dah, zippety-aye.
