St Louis,day 1

I spent last week in St Louis and it was hot, hot, hot. We chose an RV park inside the city so we could be close to public transportation but that meant it was basically an asphalt parking lot with hook ups - NO shade. The a/c ran 24/7 - good to know it can. Popped the breaker a few times, but started right back up. Should have left poor Eddie at home though as he had to spend about 95 % of his time inside. There was a small pool and we used it every day! I took my youngest son , who turned 21 while we were there, and his lovely fiancee. The first thing we did was walk about 12 blocks( in 95 degree heat) to Union Station to purchase a metro link pass to use during our stay. This was my first good look at the arch since I was driving when we passed by on our way into town.
Here are some pics of this landmark building which is being restored, inside and out.
Then we rode the train downtown to walk around a bit. We spent some time at Busch stadium (have I ever mentioned that my son is a sports nut) and then took a few more pics of different buildings. sorry I don't know the names of a single one.
Many of them were covered with reflective materials and you could see other buildings in them like this
